Our Founder
Lorrene Conino founded Salon Lorrene & Spa in 1998 with the idea in mind that guests deserve a place to spoil themselves. For over two decades, Lorrene has been committed to providing a great spa-like experience for the northwest suburbs and surrounding areas.
At Salon Lorrene & Spa her vision is simple: every guest should feel welcomed, cared for and completely confident in their look. The culture she has created centers around exceptional service, artistry, and the belief that beauty and wellness go hand in hand.
Lorrene’s expert approach centers on dry cutting, a technique that works with the hair’s natural movement and texture to shape styles that feel effortless, natural, and grow out beautifully. Her approach to color complements her cutting philosophy, creating dimensional color that enhances the haircut and highlights each guest’s natural beauty. With a thoughtful consultation and in-depth technique, resulting in a look designed specifically for the individual- polished, wearable and easy to maintain between visits.

Giving To Community
Community has always been part of who we are. Salon Lorrene & Spa has proudly supported the Palatine community for decades while remaining active in advancing the beauty profession. Lorrene has served on the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce, has dedicated more than 15 years to Cosmetologists Chicago and America’s Beauty Show, and served as President from 2024–2026. These leadership roles allow us to bring the latest education, innovation, and
industry excellence back to our guests and our team.
Additionally, Salon Lorrene has a long-standing association with Wigs For Kids, a nonprofit that serves children suffering from hair loss. Through this partnership we have facilitated the donation of hair from hundreds of clients to children in need.
